SUS440C Martensitic Stainless Steel
Introduction
SUS440C is a kind of martensitic stainless steel with 1.2% C, and the steel also has good dimensional stability under high temperature and can be used on tools that work below 250℃.
Due to 16-18% chromium, it is the most commonly used stainless steel (after ATS-34) and is the first one to be accepted by people who use them, especially when the minus process is developed, which leads to the enhancement of the toughness of steel.
Properties
SUS440C has the highest hardness (up to HRC58 or more) of all heat-resistant steel and good wear resistance. Due to higher carbon than 3Cr13, it has higher strength and hardness than 3Cr13 steel. The hardness can reach HRC56-58 with good corrosion resistance and toughness.And it has similar properties to that of 3Cr13 steel with poor welding. The steel is easier than any steel to be polished.
