Super austenitic stainless steelCharacteristics of SUS890L:
SUS890L is a kind of super austenitic stainless steel. It is a high-nickel and high-molybdenum austenitic stainless steel as well. It possesses the features of good resistance to pitting corrosion, stress corrosion and crevice corrosion. Compared with SUS316L, its corrosion resistance is superior. As SUS890L contains copper with the mass fraction of 1.5% or so, it has excellent corrosion resistance even in reductive acids, such as sulfuric acid, acetic acid, formic acid, phosphoric acid, etc. SUS890L has extremely good corrosion resistance to pitting in neutral chloride solution and relatively high weldability due to its low carbon. The performance of SUS890L is very close to that of 904L/UNS N08904. SUS890L is particularly suitable for the application of chemical equipment requiring high corrosion resistance.Chemical composition of SUS890L (%):

The temperature of solution treatment is 1030~1180℃. The cooling method is rapid cooling or water cooling.Weldability of SUS890L:
The weldability of SUS890L is good. There is no need to preheat or heat the steel.Applications of SUS890L:
