Introduction & Properties
Stainless steel SUS304N1 is a kind of austenitic one that is developed by adding appropriate amount of nitrogen on the basis of SUS304/S30400, which not only can improve the strength as well as work hardening tendency of steel and resistance to pitting and intergranular corrosion, but also reduce the thickness and weight of the material.

Forging process of SUS304N1
Preheat / ℃ initial forging temperature / ℃ final forging temperature / ℃ Cooling
815 1150 ~ 1160 ≥ 900 air-cooled
Preliminary heat treatment of SUS304N1
① annealing on stress elimination : 300 ~ 350 ℃, heat 1 ~ 2h, air cooling.
② annealing on hardening elimination: 750 ~ 850 ℃,heat 1 ~ 3h, fast cooling.
Solution heat treatment of SUS304N1
1010 ~ 1150 ℃, rapid cooling, the hardness ≤ 217HBW.
Application
SUS304N1 is widely used, and can be used for parts with requirements of certain corrosion resistance and strength. Typical applications are:
• petroleum, chemical equipment
• pipeline, container, etc.
