UNS S13800
XM-13 (UNS S13800) is a kind of precipitation hardening stainless steel with aluminum content (mass fraction 0.90% ~ 1.35%). The hardness of steel is less than 38HRC after solution treatment and it is easy for cutting while can achieve more than 45HRC though precipitation hardeningand can get better mechanical properties.

Forging process of XM-13/S13800
Preheat / ℃ heating temperature / ℃ initial forging temperature / ℃ final forging temperature / ℃ Cooling
800 1180 ~ 1200 1150 ~ 1160 ≥ 930 air-cooled
Solution temperature of XM-13/S13800
1020 ~ 1100 ℃, cooling with water, hardness ≤ 38HRC.
Aging treatment of XM-13/S13800
Heating temperature is 510 ℃, hardness ≥ 45HRC; heating temperature is 538 ℃, hardness ≥ 43HRC.
Application
XM-13 (UNS S13800) can be used on high-precision parts with the requirements of high wear and corrosion resistance.
